London lawyers
The most entertaining lawsuit of 2006 year is about The Da Vinci Code.
In March of 2006, author Dan Brown sat uncomfortably in a London court as judges and lawyers tried to discover the secrets to his bestseller.
At the center of this law suit, brought by historians Michael Baigent and Richard Leigh against Random House, is that the plot for The Da Vinci Code was stolen from their 1982 book, The Holy Blood and The Holy Grail.
The London trial, apart from giving a fascinating insight into the mindset of one of the world's most successful authors, has given a huge sale boost to both books.
These London lawyers are battling over the sum of $3.
5 million.
Brown admitted that he read the book as part of his research for the project and included it in his bibliography.
Both books touch on the hypothesis that Jesus survived the Crucifixion, married Mary Magdalene and had children whose descendants are alive today.
